Cow trafficking is huge these days in India – where people worship "Holy Cow”, they regard her as mother "Gau Mata”.
I was travelling to the village of ETAWAH, U.P., India when I noticed a huge market for selling and buying of Cows, Buffalos, Goats. I was interested in clicking pictures of the market because there were hundreds of animals gathered in that place by the highway in nearby village.
As I entered the huge market I saw many Cows and villagers – I started making frames; after meeting some villagers and talking to them, they seemed all right of me making frames. But as soon as I left the place and started walking towards my car, one man stopped me and asked, “Why are you clicking pictures?”. I said because these animals look beautiful together in one place, and they are so innocent by face, which made me click these beautiful Animals.
He said, “Where is the COW?”, very angrily and rudely. “There are only buffaloes here. Delete your photos first. You are probably a media person and you will misuse these photos by giving them to the media." I was shocked because at that point of time my mind was full of love regarding these animals and I was happy to see such a huge market. But I did't know that there was some trafficking of Cows going on! I managed to get out of the market and headed towards my village .

In my village I met some Cow devotees. One of them was Shyam ji. He serves more than 90 Cows in his village along with his wife Radha in Ghadaghasdha. Shyam ji devoted his life to serve Cow from trafficking and slaughtering. He hasn't worn shoes or flip-flops from past 30 years. Common man in orange Kurta full of divine love with Lord Krishna.

Along with his crew members who are also devoted to Cow, Mr. Bharti and Mr. Daroga, rescue Cows from trucks on the highways. Sometimes they contain flesh of Cow (beef) that they then dig and bury in the ground; or if they catch alive Cows, they would rescue them and bring them to Shyam ji's Gaushala and serve them till their death.
Mr. Bharti is also a big contributor to the Gaushala by eliminating his daily life necessity like tea, food, clothes, cigarettes, etc. He saves nearly eighty thousand rupees per year and donates to Gaushala. He is also against child marriage and helps poor farmers in getting their daughters married in nearby villages.
